Our Mission

At CAHCC, our mission is to create positive change for children, young people, and their families. We focus on a rural community in Takeo Province, one of the poorest areas in Cambodia, a country facing significant economic challenges (Source: UNCTAD). Many families struggle with poverty, limited access to education, and unstable employment. By providing opportunities for free education, care, and community support, we aim to break the cycle of poverty for the next generation.

Our Programs

At our Community Centre Happyland, children and young people participate in free after-school English, sports, arts, and computer classes. We also organize activities and workshops that empower them with skills for the future. International volunteers are welcomed under our Child Protection Policy and Code of Conduct, ensuring a safe and sustainable impact on the community.

Our Approach

We promote family and community-based care in line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and the Cambodian government’s Alternative Care Policy. Through our Child Sponsorship Program, we support family-based care, ensuring that children can grow up in their own safe environment. Our Director, social worker Sous Dara, has strong connections and collaboration between government agencies, local authorities, and international NGOs to achieve common goals for the best possible option for a child’s development and wellbeing.
