Mudmowth

Mudmowth is the man responsible for the critically acclaimed ‘Circus in the Cemetery’ and ‘Sledgehammer Kisses’, both of which were released on the famed Associated Minds UK record label in the late-2000s.

After years of releasing music, entering rap battles, and touring the UK, Mudmowth decided to go and taste the unknown spaces of this world. The last 11 years of his life have been spent hop-scotching the planet, trading stories with its people, writing poetry (including a self-published collection) and embracing all of the wonder that the world has to offer. From Indonesia to India, Nepal to New Zealand, Mud has been learning about life from the lines in her land.

The birth of his daughter 17 months ago sparked a new flame of creativity inside him, and the words began spilling onto the page, once again in the form of his much loved hip hop.

This newfound fire has been crafted into the forthcoming album named after his daughter ‘Kokoro’ which captures the spectrum of emotions and experiences he has tasted while on his path through the planet.

This first single from the album ‘Digging for Dreams’ is the perfect introduction to the new Mudmowth, version 2.0, who feels he has truly found his voice and how to define his time on Earth.

As Mud puts it “it took growing wings, it took risks/ for me to recognise there is love in a closed fist”.
